Several years ago we started a unique and innovative Winterization Program that we seen incredible results with. Through this program we are able to properly maintain and identify potential problem areas on our customers' center pivots. This greatly reduces and sometimes eliminates costly irrigation season downtime and summer service calls which results in significant savings to our customers. The Winterization Program consists of:
- Checking all water drains
- Drain any water in gearboxes, and checking gearboxes for any leaks
- Check each electrical box and wiring and, if feasible, run machine to check for noisy bearings
- Check structure for loose or missing bolts and grease pivot point
- Make a list of all worn parts and give you a repair estimate if requested
We strive to complete this stage before the first damaging freeze, and then during the winter we complete the maintenance and repairs that you have approved.
