Terry Gerdes has been involved in the center pivot industry for over 30 years. He began in high school working for center pivot construction crews before starting his own center pivot and grain bin construction crew to work his way through college. Terry graduated from UNK (then Kearney State College) in 1978 with a B.S. in Business Administration and after a short stint managing a lumber yard in Kansas, moved to Holdrege, Nebraska in late 1978 where he started Gerdes Construction - a center pivot and grain bin construction company. In January of 1980, Terry started Central Valley Irrigation, Inc., a Valley center pivot dealership.
Terry brings over 30 years experience in the center pivot business to the table for a convincing and reassuring business experience. He has introduced innovations to the business such as the Service Contract (click here to learn more) and the Winterization Program (click here to learn more) that continue to provide excellent service to his customers.
In January 2007, Terry turned the ownership of the business over to Monty Vonasek who will continue the tradition Terry started. Terry still oversees the service and parts department. He continues to work in new system design and sales, as well as in center pivot service.
